Get stand alone installer for windows live messenger and windows live writer
Ever since Microsoft started giving their windows live labelled software through windows live installer I am having hard time installing these software’s because it is hard to download those installers through Windows Live Installer every time you need to install a windows live software especially if you have slow connection and this makes the installation process really slow, thank god windows live installer saves a copy of the installer on your harddisk once you install the software, I will show you how to get the installers
First open my computer open tools menu and select folder options
Monitor Your Adsense earnings from your windows taskbar
The other day I found this nifty little program on softpedia named SysSense, basically it allows you to monitor your Adsense earnings from the windows taskbar, it places an icon in the taskbar and when you hover your mouse pointer over it, it shows a box with the details of your Adsense account.
It can show all the details of your Adsense account including Page Impressions, Clicks, CTR, eCPM, Earnings, Predicted Earnings, current month’s page impressions, current month’s clicks, current month’s CTR, current month’s eCPM and current month’s earnings, you can configure what to show and what not to show. You can also configure at how much time interval you want the statistics to be updated, it can also show details for multiple accounts and the feature I like the most is that one can configure it to show balloon popups when the amount of click changes, good for those who get excited on every single click. apart from that you can configure it to show the earnings in your native currency but the downside is that you yourself have to put the conversion rate so it means that it wont be accurate but its good for getting an idea.
Patch your Uxtheme File in Windows XP Sp3 to enhance your systems appearance
One cant forever live with the default theme of Windows XP, it gets dull and boring after we use it everyday so to give it a refreshing feel you can patch your uxtheme.DLL file so you can install 3rd party themes for Windows XP, you can get the patcher from here.
now that you have patched the uxtheme file you need to place your new theme folder in X:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes (where X is your windows installation directory) , this folder you are copying should have the .msstyles file and the shell folder, now that you have pasted your theme folder in the resources folder the new theme will show up in the appearance tab of the display properties dialog box (right click any empty area on your desktop and click on properties to get this dialog box) , now just select the theme you just installed and press apply and enjoy the refreshing new look!
